A British statesman, who was appointed President of the Board of Trade and Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancashire in 1786. The same year, he became Baron Hawkesbury, and in 1796 he became the Earl of Liverpool. His son, Robert Jenkinson, was the British Prime Minister from 1812 to 1827.
