Second son of George III, King of the United Kingdom and Hanover. From 1764 to 1803, he was Prince-Bishop of Osnabrück in the Holy Roman Empire. After his father’s death in 1820, Frederick was the heir to the throne after his elder brother, George IV. Frederick was a noted military commander. He died in 1827 aged 63.
