William Hay Chapman

Born in September 1832 in Woodford, Essex, Chapman was a student in the Military Department at King’s in 1849-50. His father, Alfred Chapman, was a Captain in the army. William Chapman did not go on to serve in the military, but instead pursued an MA at Cambridge and became a Reverend. He was married twice, first to Amelia Elizabeth Rowley and then to Emily Hanbury. He died in February 1903 aged 80.
