King's Past

A historic engraving of a neoclassical building with arched windows, people in 19th-century attire walking across a cobblestone courtyard.
King's College, Strand, London. Engraving by J. C. Carter. Wellcome Collection (V0013842).

The King's Past project has produced a critical, reflexive history of King’s focusing on thirteen significant 'moments of making' for the college during the two hundred years since its founding.

KDLworked with the research team to produce a website to share this history built upon a foundational data model and structure that allows for future expansions of content and exposing linkages between entities and content.

In addition, Luis Felipe Abbud, a CAPES PhD student hosted by KDL and affiliated to the CMCI department, worked with the King's Past team and students to create VR/AR models and experiences related to the project, which can be accessed at https://kingspast.kcl.ac.uk/about/demonumenta
