- Text from autopsy;
- line.1: Mommsen: O; the trace of the horizontal tail stroke of a letter runs in under the left side of the O, perhaps the tail of an R?
- line.2: Mommsen: FE; Orsi: FP the second letter could be P or R, but lack of interpunct before and line of the break suggest R.

commentary
The fragment is clearly part of a monumental high imperial text, but too little survives to make much of it. Mommsen's brief record implies considerable haste. Orsi recorded the fragment in his initial survey of the museum material in late 1888. No details survive of the fragment's provenance, but it can safely be assumed to be from urban Syracuse.
