- Description
- A large rectangular block of stone of the local fine Taormina limestone, subsequently re-used as a door threshold, and so worn smooth on one broad face, and with holes cut in the face for door posts. Broadly intact except for damage to one corner. Three faces are inscribed (two narrow, one wide), the fourth (not currently visible, set against the wall) is more roughly finished.

Inscription
- Layout
- The text is inscribed on three faces, the precise organisation of which remains a question of discussion. Battistoni 2020 and 2011, after Bormann, offers the most plausible and complete reconstruction, followed here: Section A in two columns on face I (left, narrow face for the viewer), continuing upper left on face III (central, wider face for the viewer); Section B in a single column on face II (right narrow face for the viewer); Section C, top of face III, followed by a large lacuna; Section D, lower left of face III; Section E.i, traces top right of face III, followed by a large lacuna; section E.ii, lower right of face III.
