Found in the last days of April 1638 during excavation of foundations for new building of the Church of S. Giovanni Battista, Catania; Carrera describes as being placed on the wall of the Loggia in Catania, with other inscriptions, but subsequent authors did not see it and it seems to be lost.

As Kaibel observes, this is almost certainly a verse epigram of some sort; presumably of the later Roman period, perhaps third or fourth century CE. All editions derive directly or indirectly from Carrera.
