commentary

The epitaph has the traditional structure with the name of the deceased, the epithets χρηστὸς καὶ ἄμεμπτος (for which, see Korhonen 2004: 84) and the indication of the age expressed by ζάω in the aorist form. The name Λίβιος can be a Greek transliteration for the Latin Livius (see Buszard 2018: 112-113).
