Lunate letters of plain form, getting smaller from line 1 to line 4; the fifth line is much larger and Agnello suggests a different hand. Alpha has straight bar throughout; Epsilon is mostly lunate but somewhat variable; zeta in form of straight Z; Kappa has detached arms; Mu in first instance has middle strokes joining very high, in second instance four equal length oblique strokes; xsi is vertical with three equal horizontals; omicron full size; pi straight strokes of equal length; rho rounded and closed; sigma lunate.

The letters in the final line are larger, but it is not immediately clear from the drawing that they must be in a second hand (the assumption of Agnello is that they were written later). Judgement on this point, and the preferred reading of line 3 should be reserved until autopsy is possible. The stone has now been located in storage at the Parco archeologico di Siracusa, but not yet studied.
