commentary

Originally and incorrectly reported by Manganaro as a brick fragment and read as a text in Greek and attributed to the Museo Archeologico Regionale di Siracusa "Paolo Orsi". The case of the names is unknown, nominative or genitive most likely. The final element is a cognomen, such as Aquila, Aquilinus or Aquinus (see Walthall and Korhonen for full discussion).
