Text type
commentary
The fragment probably belongs to an epitaph. Korhonen restores a post-consular date: if the integration is correct and the text should not be intended as written in Latin, the inscription should be dated to the 5th century AD. For other post-consular dates in inscriptions from Catania dated to the 5th cent. AD and expressed with the formula μετὰ τὴν ὑπατείαν, see IG 14.455 = ISic001279, IMusCatania 167 = ISic001648, SEG 17.441 = ISic003126.
