commentary
The epitaph has the structure with the formula ἐνθάδε κεῖται, the name of the deceased, the indication of age and date of death (also in the participle form). The use of the patronymic in the Christian inscriptions of Catania is remarkable (see another Christian inscription from Syracuse, SEG 27.662 = ISic003133), as well as the dating with Φεβραρείῳ as an attribute of μηνί. Οὐρανία and Οὐρανίος are attested in late Christian inscriptions: see NSA 1907: 775 no.40 (Syracuse, V cent. CE) for Οὐρανία, CIL 10.1385 (Nola, V-VI cent. CE) for Οὐρανίος.
