Pellegrini describes the form of the letters as similar to that and ; he also notes that they have been painted in red, although he appears to imply that this was done in modern times, with the praecnomen and the interpunct of line 9 remaining unpainted.

Reported by Pellegrini, in a piece dated 'Trapani, 12 aprile 1886' as 'nella corte della casa Lipari' in Marsala, and as having been found 2 years previously, i.e. c.1884, 'a Lilibeo'.

The piece does not seem to have been observed since, and is either lost or in private hands.

Dated to the period of Diocletian or Constantine, but probably prior to 314 CE, on the basis of the office and titles (AD 291 – AD 314)
