Manganaro suggests this is a decree of Akrai, published in villages in the city's territory. He speculates that the text makes reference to a theft, and perhaps involving a sacred building or sanctuary (line 6: ε]ἰς ὀροφὰν ΕΔ[--; and line 7: ἐ]κλέπτοσαν Ε[--). The text is notable as a rare example of an early Hellenistic document.
