commentary

Orsi seemingly mistakenly reads an omicron at the end of line 5, but as Bitto notes (seemingly confirmed by the photograph in I.Messina, p.21), there is only an interpunct visible. It seems highly likely that there was a parallel interpunct before the numeral Π (since it is common to use interpuncts to highlight numerals in this way), but this is obscured by a break in the stone/plastercast.
