commentary
The 'b' symbol recalls the acrophonic numeral '10' in Entella tablet V (ISic030298) and other Sicilian documents such as the gold phiale from the area of Himera. However, given that this is construed as a form of archaic delta, serving for 10, it is difficult to explain why it occurs in combination with standard delta. In such a sequence, the T could be understood as representing Talent, and the b in combination with the T to signify 10 talents. But the exact resolution is far from obvious, only that it seems likely that this is a numeral sequence of some description.
