- Fragment of a marble plaque, broken on all sides. The plaque originally bore a monumental Latin inscription on the reverse (, with the trace of a moulding on along the broken lower edge, and was subsequently re-used for this text

- Schubring in his autopsy notes of 1865 for the inscription on the obverse (no.144) states that the piece was found in the area of the great altar of Hieron; Mommsen in CIL states that it was found by Serradifaclo among the ruins of the great altar (but does not reference the source for this claim). Found with ISic000417.

There may be a short vacat after the M. The inscription was recorded by Orsi in his taccuini, but was not mentioned by either Schubring or Mommsen in their records of the obverse (ISic000418). 'DEM' is perhaps most likely part of a form of 'isdem', but there are many other possibilities.
