Two inscriptions, one on the underside of the foot (face a), the other one on the upper part of it (face b). The text on the upper part of the foot has been highlighted with white painting in modern times to make it more legible.

Found during the excavations (from 1957 to 1977) by the Soprintendenza alle Antichità della Sicilia Occidentale in the area of Grotta Vanella, on the north-east slope of Monte Barbaro, 1.9km east of temple of Segesta.
