According to Dubois the female name Τιτταβώ must be indigenous and should have the same radical as Τιτταλος, variant of Τιττελος attested in Thessaly. As for the disinence -ώ, and not -ώι as everywhere in the Doric context in Sicily, it's possible to explain it as a Ionism or an indigenous feature.
