commentary
Jeffery describes this text as a list of names (nom.) written backwards, but by an unskilled hand which tended to write the initial syllable (and the medial at least once) forwards. On the contrary, Bettarini believes that the so-called retrograde ductus of the words and, at times, their inversion was done on purpose by the author. Regarding each letter, it is important to point out that the π is Ionic, made up of two vertical strokes of equal length; this implies a date aroundthe middle of the fifth century BCE (Bettarini).
