Provenance

Place of origin
Monte San Mauro (di Caltagirone)
Provenance found
Found in Monte San Mauro (di Caltagirone), at the top of Hill 3 (in Orsi's 1910 numbering), 30 cm below the ground level, in the area where the building in square blocks that Orsi interpreted as an 'anaktoron' was found. The fragments would have penetrated the rammed earth, which was the original walking surface of the structure..
