Text type
commentary
The text references the use of the interest from a sum left by a will for a purpose unknown (e.g. public banqueting, or similar). Although seen by Mommsen and Bivona in the civic museum, it could not be located in 2022/2023. Gualtherus reports both fragments without connecting them; Castelli only reports the right hand fragment; Romano joins the fragments, and reads the name 'Ismontis' in the first line. Mommsen correctly notes the need for some space between the fragments.
