Kaibel speculates that the stone was broken at line 3, because he could not explain ΜΗΚΑΛΙ, but given that the rest of the stone is clearly intact, apart from the loss of two letters at the end of line 2, one must rather assume that some more comprehensible praenomen has been corrupted / misread. The use of Roman numerals in a Greek text is notable (and has parallels, e.g., at Catania).
