Museo Archeologico Regionale di Adrano

A superb local collection in an 11th century castle with excellent views of Etna and the plain of Catania. Neolithic and Bronze age material from various sites in the area; 8th-5th century material (indigenous and Greek) principally from Mendolito; 4-2 C BC material (principally ceramic), Roman sculpture, amphorae etc. The upper floors have modern weapons, paintings and letters.
